Terms
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Thore Mainart Bücking, a private individual in Sweden who runs Langons. By creating an account or using Langons, you accept them. Questions go to [email protected].
Who can use Langons
You must be 16 or older. An account is for one person; keep access to its email address safe, since a code sent there signs in.
What Langons is
Langons writes reading texts with AI, helps you look up and collect words, and schedules flashcards. The texts, translations and explanations are written by AI and can contain mistakes: use them for learning, not as an authority. Langons is free while it is invite-only. Its features and daily limits may change; if Langons is to close, you'll be told by email at least 30 days before and can download your data first.
Fair use
Please don't:
- get round the daily limits or the sign-in checks, or use more than one account to;
- use scripts or bots to use Langons, or copy its content in bulk;
- try to break into, overload or interfere with Langons or other learners' accounts;
- use Langons to produce or send anything unlawful or abusive;
- paste in articles or links you aren't allowed to use.
Langons doesn't read pages whose publishers have opted out of AI use where it can tell, or pages behind a paywall.
Rights holders
The news texts are retold from openly licensed sources, credited below each text. If you believe a text on Langons uses your work without permission, write to [email protected] with the page it came from. We'll look into it promptly and remove it if it shouldn't be there.
Your content and ours
What you add (words, notes, edits, links) stays yours. You allow Langons to store and process it only to run the app for you. The texts written for you are yours to use for your own learning. The app itself, its design, the langons and the course material belong to Thore Mainart Bücking; the serial stories are retold from public-domain books.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time under You → Your data. An account that breaks these terms may be suspended or deleted; you'll be told why, unless the law or security forbids it.
Responsibility
Langons is offered with care but as it is, without a promise that it is always available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Thore Mainart Bücking is not liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Swedish law or the law of the country where you live, or liability that cannot be limited.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If something goes wrong, write to [email protected] first. Consumers in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN, arn.se); disputes otherwise go to the Swedish courts, or to the courts where you live if your consumer rights allow it.
Paid plans
There are no paid plans yet. When there are, what you pay for and how to cancel will be set out before you buy.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. For a change that matters, you'll be told by email before it takes effect, and you can delete your account if you don't accept it. How your data is handled is on the privacy page.
